Group Head of Learning & Development
Wendy is the responsible for creating and implementing the overall learning and development strategy for the company and driving a whole company-wide approach to Talent Management, including career progression and succession planning.
Wendy has worked within the health and social care sector for 20 years and in previous roles have successfully implemented an effective blended-learning approach to meet the diverse needs of the staff within the health and social care sector. Having designed and implemented Leadership programmes, Wendy is keen to bring this to the group to enhance our pathway to success.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Paul manages the financial strategy and finance team for the business, as well as the group’s banking relationships and is a member of the Board.
Paul is a highly-experienced leader of commercial and finance teams in the aviation, leisure and hospitality sectors. Paul joined Ambito sister company Pathways Care Group in November 2017 as CFO and then became Group CFO in December 2018 to also oversee the Ambito Care & Education business. Paul joined the group from Trenchard Aviation, a fast growing aircraft maintenance business backed by Graphite Capital. As CFO Paul led the business through 4 acquisitions and a major finance restructuring. Previously he was CFO at No1 Lounges, the award winning airport lounge, travel spa and pod hotel business. He also spent over a decade with the Virgin Group working in tax, finance and corporate development. Paul is a chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor and he holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
Chief Operating Officer
Carrie is responsible for the day to day operations of the Ambito services and is the CQC Nominated Individual and the CIW Responsible Individual for all Adult services across England and Wales. Carrie’s most recent role was as Scopes Executive Director of Operations where she led on the significant and sector leading divestment of their children’s and adult’s services portfolio. Carrie has over 30 years experience in the Health and Social care sector, working with numerous different client groups in various roles including Director of Services, Regional Management, Quality and Service Improvement. Carrie is passionate about continuous improvement, achieving great outcomes for individuals and designing and delivering sector leading, best value support.
Rebecca King is the Operations Director – North for Ambito Care and Support. Rebecca has over 20 years experience in Health and Social Care, gained while working across a range of service types and client groups. Adding value, by leading on and driving continuous improvement and development of services, are key skills held by Rebecca. In current and previous roles, Rebecca has affected measurable improvements in the quality, regulatory compliance ratings and financial performance across large groups of services and regions. Prior to this, Rebecca worked at Scope and the Metropolitan Housing Society.
Colin is the Director for Ambito Services in the South of England and Wales, managing day-to-day operations and delivering the operational strategy set by the Chief Executive and Board. Colin joined Scope in 2014 as a Consultant Manager to support services through the Charity’s Care Home review and became Director for the South in October 2016. As part of Services Senior Management Team, Colin has led on supporting the divestment of the Regulated and Day services in the South Region, working closely with colleagues to ensure continuity of support. Prior to joining Scope, Colin worked in Regional Director and consultant positions for a national provider of care and support to people with learning disabilities and complex needs. He brings over 20 years Social Care experience in delivering services, having previously worked for statutory, charitable and private providers.
Group Corporate Services Director
Claire brings a wealth of experience in regulatory and legal requirements to the Salutem team. She has 20 years experience across the financial markets, starting her career at Paribas (now BNP Paribas) in Fixed Income sales. Prior to joining Salutem, Claire worked at IHS Markit, a global financial information services provider (NYSE), heading up the EMEA relationship management team looking after the G14 banks and top tier buyside clients, with a particular focus on the impact of regulations on OTC derivative related products in the onboarding/KYC space.
This role was proceeded by a number of years at MarketAxess, a leading electronic bond trading platform, where she led the European Client Services team handling professional buyside client onboarding. Claire joined Salutem a year ago and has since been heavily involved in strategic initiatives related to the integration of multiple businesses including information governance, technology and insurance.
She is also responsible for ensuring corporate compliance for the group.
